We have found people of Pakistan a "content" people. I am just reporting this based on examples. They are truly a content and patient people. They themselves were expressing this.

In the week that I was there and practically meeting and interacting around the clock, they were constantly asking for my impression of them.

But even before I mention it they would tell me repeatedly how content and patient people are.

For instance there's 5 hours electric outage every day here but nobody protest or complains . They console each other that there were few days with 8 or 6 hours of outage, so 5 hours is good and there is nothing wrong with it.

The government also knows that people are like this, so they shut down the power for 8 hrs for few days in a row until everyone is miserable, then they reduce the shut down to 4 hrs.

Well I had difficult time with the youth that I was chatting with. I would tell them look with such a powerful and vast student organization you have. In fact maybe the biggest shia student group in the world (perhaps after the Islamic Republic) Of course you're only 25% of the population here and it is not a fair comparison nevertheless with such a great organization there's not one documentary maker among you.

I would tell them you have to take to the airways and take over the TV stations, now this was a huge challenge for them and they would say all this way of thinking is new to us. How come? After thirty years, all you want to organize is rouzeh events? In fact you have to attempt to export your culture. For example there's a film called "the kites" a very moving film based on a very strong novel made by afghans with Hollywood production which many Iranians have seen. Well among the student leaders I was talking to none of them have seen or heard about the movie.

I would tell them you're being won over by others. There are about 100 TV stations out of which 30 are Indian and sanctioned by the government (with death to India as common theme understandably, since India to Pakistan is like Israel to Palestine).
I would tell them at least you have to have station of your own.
They would tell me that no we are patient and content people.

Ah well, what are you content with? We are content people to be ransacked (exploited).
